Missions

At Central we believe that God has called us to reach our world with the good news of Jesus Christ. In addition to our local outreach efforts we are also affiliated with the Baptist Missionary Association of America. Through our combined efforts we are currently ministering in 53 countries throughout the world. In addition to our Associational work we currently sponsor The First Baptist Church of Bahrain which we planted several months ago. We also periodically sponsor short term mission trips to various places in which many of our members participate. It is our desire at Central to help others enter into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Our outreach ministry seeks to help them do so through caring lifestyles and careful communication of God’s Word.

G.R.O.W. (God Rewards Our Work)

Our GROW outreach team meets each Tuesday evening to contact and encourage those who have visited our Church. In addition to our first time visits we also visit other new residents and prospects whose names have been turned in through our “Prospect Cards.”

GROW also involves card writing and phone calls as another means of follow-up. Our GROW ministry is open to any of our members who would like to be actively involved in the ministry of outreach. For more information please contact our church office.

Events

Periodically throughout the year our Church will host various events as a way to draw our community to us. These events vary from fall festivals to concerts and cook-outs but they all have the same objective – sharing the love and the life of Christ Jesus to all who attend.

Food Pantry

Our Central Church family is thankful to offer a food pantry ministry as a way of showing God’s love to those who are in need. Our pantry is opened on Monday afternoons from 3-6 and is available to anyone who needs assistance. Our goal in this ministry is not just to help them meet there physical needs but to encourage them emotionally and spiritually as well.
